Terms of Use.

1. Description of the service

Sandouq is an Android personal finance app that runs entirely on the user's device. It allows you to track transactions, accounts, budgets, and savings goals, as well as calculations related to Zakat, Sadaqah, and the Hijri calendar.

2. No financial or religious advice

Sandouq is a tracking tool, not an advisor. The information, calculations, category suggestions, and estimates displayed in the app (including those related to Zakat, Nisab, Hijri dates, or Islamic finance in general) are provided for educational and informational purposes only.

They do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, a fatwa, or a substitute for the guidance of a qualified scholar, accountant, or financial advisor. For any important decision, consult a competent professional in the jurisdiction and the school of jurisprudence relevant to you.

3. Accuracy of calculations

Calculations of Nisab, Zakat, and conversion between the Gregorian and Hijri calendars are based on public sources (gold/silver spot prices, Umm al-Qura method) and on the configuration choices you make in the app. While we do our best to ensure accuracy, errors or outdated values are possible. The user remains responsible for any final decision.

4. "Unlock Sandouq" purchase

An optional one-time purchase called "Unlock Sandouq" ($4.99 / 49 MAD depending on your region) is offered via Google Play. This purchase:

• Is a one-time, non-recurring payment.
• Stays attached to your Google Play account and can be restored on any Android device linked to that account.
• Includes every future feature of the app at no extra cost (publisher's commitment).
• Is processed by Google Play. Google Play's refund terms apply: support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637.

5. Data backup

Sandouq stores all your data only in your device's internal memory. Backing up that data is the sole responsibility of the user. The app offers a manual export (CSV / JSON) from Settings → Backup.

The publisher cannot be held responsible for data loss caused by: uninstalling the app, factory-resetting the device, hardware failure, loss or theft of the device, or any other event affecting local storage.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use Sandouq in accordance with applicable law and not to:

• Attempt to disassemble, decompile, or reverse-engineer the app.
• Circumvent Google Play's purchase verification mechanisms.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercialize the app or its components.

7. Intellectual property

The name "Sandouq", the logo, the visual identity, the source code, and the editorial content are the property of the publisher. The app is licensed to you, not sold.

8. Limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is", with no express or implied warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher cannot be held liable for:

• Any direct or indirect financial loss resulting from the use of information displayed by the app.
• Any service interruption, bug, data loss, or incompatibility with a future Android version.
• Any consequence of a religious, tax, or financial decision made on the basis of calculations or suggestions displayed by the app.

In any event, the publisher's total liability to a user is limited to the amount that user paid for the app, if any.

9. Changes or discontinuation of the service

The publisher reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app at any time. In the event of permanent discontinuation, a 90-day notice will be published on sandouq.app and a full export of user data will remain possible from the installed app.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The version in force is always the one published at this address. Substantial changes will be announced inside the app.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the publisher's country of final registration (pending). For users residing in the European Union, local consumer-protection rules also apply. Users retain the right to bring action before the courts of their place of residence. For purchases processed via Google Play, Google Play's terms and refund policy apply first.
